Looking for the best eco-friendly makeup? Eco-friendly makeup is more of the buzz as women realize that what we put on our skin is going in to our bodies. The issue with traditional makeup is they contain many toxins we suppose to be avoiding like Parbens.

Parabens is a group of chemicals that are widely used in the cosmetic field to preserve the makeup. Some others terms that you do not want to see on your labels are fragrance , Phenoxyethanol and Polyethylene glycol (PEG) along with many more.

There are also many surprise items that you will not find on your label like heavy metals. There a number of metals, including lead, arsenic, mercury, aluminum, zinc, chromium and iron are found in cosmetics ranging from lipstick to whitening toothpaste, eyeliner, nail color and more.

Unlike in the food industry there is no legal standard for makeup and I found out that the FDA does not regulate ingredients with the exception of color additives.
